Beach Style Kara Pori

Kara pori is a quick and easy snack for tea time. If you have pori in stock you can whip this snack freshly when needed under 15 mins.
This is a snack I have had so many times when I was a kid. Mom makes it very often and it's so easy and tasty, flavourful.



INGREDIENTS NEEDED:

  1. Puffed rice Pori
  2. Salt
  3. Sambar Powder
  4. Turmeric Powder
  5. Garlic
  6. Curry Leaves

Step 1: Crush garlic roughly and set aside.

Step 2: Gather all other ingredients and keep ready. Heat a broad kadai/pan and add ghee.

Step 3: First add peanuts and fried gram dal and give a stir in medium flame for 30 seconds.

Step 4: Next add garlic and fry until its golden brown and then add sambar powder, turmeric, salt and curry leaves.

Step 5: Switch off flame immediately or put it to low.

Step 6: Add the puffed rice and mix well so that all the puffed rice gets evenly coloured (spice powders gets mixed evenly).

Step 7: Mix for a minute or two.


FOR EXTRA FLAVOUR

Ghee adds a great flavour to this, also garlic and sambar powder.
